The polymer competition is now open for registration, and the tests will take place at the fair from August 13 to 16.
The Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina (FIESC) will bring a novelty to Interplast (Plastics Industry Integration Fair and Congress).
In partnership with the fair organizers and supporting companies, FIESC is promoting the CNC Masters and Polymer Injection Machine Masters competitions. The contest follows the WorldSkills Competition model, an international professional education tournament involving technical students from around the world.
The initiative is expected to bring together industry workers, students in technical courses, technicians and higher-education students, as well as enthusiasts and independent professionals who wish to demonstrate their skills in operating CNC milling machines and polymer injection machines. The tests will take place over the four days of Interplast, from August 13 to 16, at Expoville in Joinville. Registrations are open until August 11.
The competition aims to stimulate interest and skill development in operating CNC milling machines and polymer injection machines; recognize and reward operators with exceptional skills and advanced knowledge in this area; promote knowledge exchange and best practices among experienced and novice professionals; and attract new talent to a growing job market.
PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE POLYMER COMPETITION
Selected candidates will be evaluated through practical tests, demonstrating their abilities in operating CNC milling machines or polymer injection machines. Tasks may include machine setup, programming, and execution of quality control operations on produced parts. A panel of specialized evaluators will assess each participant’s performance during the practical tests, considering criteria such as precision, efficiency, and technical knowledge.
Top-performing participants in CNC milling or polymer injection operations will receive a certificate of recognition and cash prizes redeemable as discounts on SENAI courses: R$ 5,000, R$ 3,000, and R$ 1,500 for first, second, and third place, respectively, in each category. Additionally, internship or employment opportunities may be offered by partner companies.
