Interplast – the Plastics Technology Integration Fair and Congress, held from August 25 to 28, 2026, will expand its relevance as the main content and business platform for the plastics industry in Brazil. For the first time, the fair integrates the 6th Brazilian Plastics Congress, on August 26 and 27, 2026, at the Expoville Exhibition Center, in Joinville (SC). Promoted by the SustenPlást Institute, the event has the institutional support of Messe Brasil, the organizer of Interplast.

With an estimated audience of 500 participants, the 6CBP will bring together specialists, researchers, industry leaders and executives from companies in the plastics transformation chain, strengthening the environment for qualified debates on paths to innovation, technology, sustainability, circular economy and competitiveness in the sector.

Richard Spirandelli, director of Messe Brasil, argues that the technical programming, under the responsibility of the SustenPlást Institute, including content curation, registration, and sponsorships, will provide direct dialogue between industry, academia, and sectoral institutions, expanding the technical and institutional reach of the event.

“Bringing the Brazilian Plastics Congress to Interplast enhances the qualified flow of visitors, fosters new connections, and drives the technological evolution of the production chain,” highlights Spirandelli.

PLASTIC CONGRESS

By hosting the event, Joinville consolidates its commitment as one of the main national hubs for technical discussion in the plastics industry, strengthening the regional ecosystem that already stands out for its strong industrial presence and innovation capacity.

Alfredo Schmitt, president of the SustenPlást Institute, emphasizes that the goal of the CBP is to improve society’s relationship with plastics. “We aim to show the benefits of plastic, how fundamental it is in people’s lives, and highlight that it is a 100% recyclable material,” he explains.

The 6th edition of the Brazilian Plastics Congress promises to contribute to strategic decisions and development opportunities for the entire production chain, highlighting the importance of the sector for the country and its transformation towards a more sustainable future.
