Interplast 2026, one of the largest plastics industry fairs in Latin America, will host one of the most important socio-environmental actions ever carried out within a major industry event.
In a gesture of commitment to education and the true circular economy, the fair’s organization will donate an entire space set up for a joint initiative between the Instituto Soul do Plástico, represented by its president, Rui Katsuno, and Tampinha Legal, an initiative of the SustenPlást Institute.
The joint action will present, live, the transformative potential of plastic materials when properly disposed of.
SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION HAS AN EDUCATIONAL CHARACTER

Tampinha Legal — the largest socio-environmental program of an educational nature in circular economy, an initiative of the plastic transformation industry in the Americas, and a reference in community mobilization, income generation and support for entities — will share with the Soul do Plástico Institute the mission of bringing to the public a practical, human and unquestionable experience of circularity.
At the booth, visitors will see with their own eyes: plastic bottle caps being collected, separated, ground, processed, and transformed into new products in just a few minutes, without the use of water, with very low energy consumption, and with a strong educational and social appeal.
This joint demonstration aims to maximize the power of accurate information and demystify, in a practical, inclusive, and accessible way, the real value of plastic in society.
Katsuno emphasizes that properly disposed of plastic means more income, inclusion, opportunity, belonging, and social transformation. “No one knows this better than Tampinha Legal, which has been doing impeccable work throughout the country for many years, benefiting charitable organizations, strengthening communities, and valuing people. The partnership with the Instituto Soul do Plástico further enhances this impact, bringing environmental education, self-esteem, and inspiration to young people, schools, families, and visitors to the fair,” he comments.
The booth will be a space for dialogue, learning, and knowledge of how well-structured social initiatives change lives, and how the public, companies, schools, or institutions can participate.
More information on how to follow and participate in the projects is available on the social media channels of the Soul do Plástico Institute (@soudoplastico) and the Tampinha Legal Program (@tampinhalegal).
