Flamel Presents Portfolio of Plastic Resins and Launches New Group Company

Flamel’s participation in Interplast will be an opportunity to present its portfolio of raw materials in commodity plastic resins, engineering polymers, specialties, and compounds to the market. Serving a wide variety of industrial applications, the aim is to demonstrate how the appropriate choice of raw material can directly impact product performance, process efficiency, and the final quality of the parts produced.

With a focus on the distribution of high-performance polymers, Flamel serves processors that use different production processes, such as injection molding, extrusion, and other plastic transformation technologies. This versatility allows it to serve everything from more traditional applications to more complex technical projects.

Another differentiating factor of the company is the technical support offered to customers. In addition to resin distribution, Flamel works on developing customized solutions, assisting companies in choosing the most suitable materials for each application. This support helps optimize processes, improve the mechanical properties of products, and increase the competitiveness of industries that use its materials.

The presence at Interplast will also be marked by the launch of TECHNIK, a new company in the Flamel group focused on the distribution of Akro Plastic polymers. The initiative further expands the portfolio of engineering materials available to the Brazilian market and reinforces the group’s positioning as a supplier of technological solutions for the plastics industry.

According to Flamel’s directors, the fair is an ideal environment to present the company’s solutions and strengthen partnerships with processors throughout the country. For them, Interplast is a fundamental showcase to demonstrate the breadth of the portfolio and Flamel’s technical capacity to meet different industry demands. It is also the moment to share knowledge, present new projects and show how the solutions contribute to more efficient and competitive production processes.

DISTRIBUTION OF FLAMEL PLASTIC RESINS TO VARIOUS INDUSTRIAL SEGMENTS

Flamel has a complete portfolio of plastic resins aimed at different industrial segments, demonstrating the diversity of materials that can be used to meet the most varied market applications. Among the available products are commodity resins widely used in the industry, such as crystal polystyrene (Crystal PS) and high-impact polystyrene (High Impact PS). These materials are known for their versatility and are used in various applications, especially in the packaging and consumer products sectors.

Another highlight of the portfolio is ABS, an engineering polymer widely used in the manufacture of technical components that require good mechanical strength, surface finish, and dimensional stability. The material is used in different sectors, including automotive and industrial applications.

The company also offers MABS, a material that combines transparency and impact resistance, being used in applications that require differentiated aesthetics and good structural performance. SAN is another important option for applications that require transparency and chemical resistance.

In the polyamide segment, Flamel offers a wide variety of materials, including PA6, PA6.6, and PA 6/66 copolymer. These resins are widely used in the production of technical parts that demand high mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance. These materials are especially relevant for industrial segments such as the automotive industry, where components need to perform at a high level under severe operating conditions. The use of polyamides allows for the development of stronger and more durable parts, contributing to the reliability of the final products.

Another engineering polymer in the company’s portfolio is polycarbonate (PC), known for its excellent impact resistance and high transparency. The material is used in applications that require durability and safety, such as technical components and higher value-added products.

Flamel also offers POM, a material that stands out for its excellent dimensional stability, low friction, and high wear resistance. These characteristics make the polymer ideal for technical applications that require precision and durability.

In addition to conventional resins, the company works with polyamide compounds and performance polymers, developed to meet specific applications that require differentiated properties. These materials may include reinforcements and additives that enhance the mechanical, thermal, or chemical performance of the parts produced.
