Laserflex’s Participation in Interplast Highlights Innovation and Durability for Flexographic Printing

With over 25 years of experience in developing parts and equipment for flexographic printing machines, Laserflex is participating in Interplast, reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation and meeting the demands of the packaging industry. The company is nationally recognized for manufacturing anilox sleeves and cylinders, plate cylinders, as well as various equipment and accessories supplied mainly to the packaging converting industry.

Among the main highlights presented at Interplast are the anilox sleeves and cylinders produced by the company, fundamental parts for controlling ink transfer in the printing process. These components are responsible for ensuring uniformity, precision, and high quality in the final results of printed packaging.

Laserflex’s anilox rollers are engraved with Cobracell technology, an important differentiator that has attracted the attention of converters and professionals in the graphic arts field. This technology is distinguished by the special shape of the cells engraved on the cylinder, allowing for more efficient and uniform ink transfer.

With this optimized format, the cells are able to transport and release the ideal amount of ink during printing, providing greater coverage, better image definition, and more consistent colors. At the same time, the system contributes to significant ink savings, a factor increasingly valued by companies seeking to reduce costs and improve their operational efficiency.

Another relevant aspect of Cobracell technology is its contribution to the stability of the production process. By ensuring more controlled ink transfer, anilox rolls engraved with this technology help reduce variations in printing and minimize frequent machine adjustments, increasing the productivity of converting lines.

Otavio Ronconi, commercial director of Laserflex, emphasizes that Interplast is a strategic showcase to present to the market the technologies developed to increase efficiency and quality in flexographic printing. “Our focus is on offering durable, high-performance solutions that contribute to reducing waste and optimizing processes in the packaging converting industry,” he says.

TECHNOLOGY IN ANILOX SHIELDINGS AND CYLINDERS FOR FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING FROM LASERFLEX

Anilox sleeves and cylinders play an essential role in the performance of flexographic printing machines, influencing the final quality of printed packaging due to the precise control of ink distribution on the printing plate and, consequently, on the substrate. The engineering applied by the company in the manufacture of these products prioritizes durability, resistance, and dimensional stability. This care in development ensures that the parts maintain their performance over a long period of use, even under intensive production conditions.

One of the most important differentiators of Laserflex anilox is the possibility of re-engraving. Depending on the conditions of use and maintenance, the cylinders can be re-engraved up to 10 times throughout their useful life. This process significantly extends the equipment’s lifespan and represents an economically advantageous solution for companies in the sector.

Re-engraving allows for the renewal of the structure of the cells engraved on the cylinder, restoring their ink transfer capacity and maintaining the print quality standard. In this way, customers can make the most of their investment, reducing the need to frequently purchase new components.

In addition, the cliché holder sleeves manufactured by Laserflex also have great durability and can be restored over time. This restoration process allows for the recovery of the technical characteristics of the parts, extending their lifespan and ensuring adequate performance in printing machines.

These solutions directly contribute to the reduction of raw material waste and the optimization of resources within the converting industries. In a scenario where productive efficiency and sustainability go hand in hand, products with greater durability and the possibility of reuse become increasingly strategic.
