Parabor Showcases Maleic Anhydride Modified Polymer Resins

Parabor’s presence at Interplast highlights the distribution of high-performance raw materials, such as the exclusive representation in Brazil of the Bondyram line manufactured by the Israeli company POLYRAM, a world leader in the production of maleic anhydride modified polymer resins. The booth also showcases the complete line of equipment for physical testing, with its own solutions and those of the best global brands.

POLYRAM’s maleic anhydride modified polymer resins are widely used in the plastics market as compatibilizers, coupling agents, and adhesive resins, playing a fundamental role in materials engineering.

The BONDYRAM line stands out as a high-performance technological solution by acting as a coupling agent. The product promotes chemical compatibility between polymers and fillers, significantly improving the dispersion of the components. This process results in compounds with superior physical and mechanical properties.

Available in different polymer bases, such as polypropylene, polyethylene, ABS, EVA, and elastomers, BONDYRAM can be applied to a wide range of compounds. Among them, materials reinforced with fiberglass, carbon fiber, mineral fillers, and WPC (wood plastic compounds) stand out. In addition, it acts efficiently in the compatibilization of traditionally incompatible polymer blends, such as ABS/PC, ABS/PA, PE/PA, and PA/PP.

BONDYRAM is widely used in polyamide compounds, with or without fillers, to increase the impact resistance and flexibility of the materials. This characteristic is essential for applications that require high mechanical performance and durability.

Kaique Borges, technical sales representative at Parabor, comments that Interplast is a strategic opportunity to be close to the market, presenting solutions that add value to customers. “We want visitors to understand how our raw materials and services can transform production processes and raise the quality of final products,” he says.

PARABOR PRESENTS DIFFERENTIATED RAW MATERIALS FROM POLYRAM

The product portfolio showcased by Parabor includes the BONDYRAM TL line, adhesive resins developed to promote adhesion between polymers and incompatible structures in multilayer applications. This type of solution is widely used in flexible and rigid packaging in the food, cosmetic, and chemical segments, as well as multilayer pipes for transporting fuels, gas, and water at high temperatures.

The adhesive resins in this line are mainly used in co-extrusion processes, allowing for the efficient bonding of materials such as polyolefins with barrier polymers (PA, EVOH, PET), as well as metals such as aluminum and steel.

Among the technical differentiators of the BONDYRAM line, the high concentrations of maleic anhydride stand out, providing excellent adhesion between materials of different polarities, the versatility of application in various industrial segments, and the significant improvement in the mechanical properties of the compounds and final products.

The effective compatibility promoted by the products also has a direct impact on the recycling of materials, especially in multilayer films, contributing to the viability of more sustainable processes. In this context, the Bondyram Eco line positions itself as a facilitator of the circular economy, by allowing the efficient reuse of existing materials, reducing the environmental impact of the plastics industry.

Another relevant point is the regulatory compliance of several grades in the line, which meet international standards for indirect contact with food, expanding its application in safe and high-performance packaging.
