The 1st Plastic South Award for Innovation and Sustainability will be one of Interplast 2020’s novelties. The award will have seven categories in two divisions – Innovation and Sustainability. In Sustainability, the judging committee will select the highlights in Clean Production, Reverse Logistics Initiative, Social Commitment and Product with Recycled Content. In Innovation the categories New Application/New Product by transformation process (injection, blow, film extrusion), Intelligent Packaging and Industry 4.0 in the Plastics Industry will be awarded.
The initiative counts on the support of the plastic industry unions of the southern region of the country, Maxiquim’s consultancy and Messe Brasil’s promotion and partnership. The objective of the award is to value the innovative and sustainable actions of plastic manufacturers in the southern region of Brazil, to reinforce the brands that bet in the three states as drivers of development of the sector and to offer the market a differentiated technical award.
“The South is the second largest market for plastic transformation in the country, with more than 1.3 thousand companies installed, according to data from Abiplast. We now want to find partners to enhance the innovative and sustainable potential of companies in this important region of Brazil”, said the director of Conceitual Brasil, responsible for publishing of Plástico Sul magazine and curator of the award, Melina Gonçalves.
The outstanding initiatives will be known and awarded at Interplast 2020, which will be held in Joinville/SC, from August 11 to 14. Access here the additional information and make your registration. The launch took place on November 11th, during Simplas’ end-of-year dinner.
