Innovation and Sustainability in Masterbatches and Additives for Plastics
Cromex’s participation in Interplast 2024 will be an opportunity to present its innovation in plastic masterbatches and additives that improve the performance of plastic manufacturing processes. The Act Green, Live All Colors product line is designed to improve the quality of post-consumer resins, reduce the use of fossil raw materials and reduce CO2 emissions, while the GrapheX – Cromex Graphene® line brings gains in resistance, enabling thickness reduction and, consequently, saving materials and energy.
The Act Green, Live All Colors® line of masterbatches and plastic additives of sustainable products aims to improve the processing performance and quality of post-consumer resins. The line includes rC-Black – Recovered Carbon Black®, which uses carbon black obtained from the reprocessing of used tires, which reduces dependence on fossil oil and CO2 emissions. Currently, Cromex transforms around 100,000 tires per month into masterbatches, saving approximately 5,000 tons of fossil fuel oil and avoiding the emission of around 5,000 tons of CO2 annually.
The GrapheX – Cromex Graphene® line is made up of graphene masterbatches and will be presented for the first time at Interplast. This line increases the mechanical resistance of plastics, allowing the production of thinner and lighter parts, reducing resin and energy consumption in processing. These masterbatches are applicable in several markets, such as agribusiness, automotive, packaging, footwear, defense and housewares.
DIFFERENTIALS OF MASTERBATCHES AND PLASTIC ADDITIVES
