The wooden masterbatch of natural fibers developed and patented by Polifibras will be officially launched by the company at the Interplast expo. Obtained from rice bark, the wooden masterbatch of natural fibers is added into the thermoplastic resin for application in injection and extrusion processes, with a strong environmental and sustainable appeal. “Our natural fiber composites also count on technology to facilitate the processing and mold removal, adding unpaired brightness and beauty to the injected components”, explains Daniel Pegoraro, Polifibras officer and responsible for developing the patented product.
Polifibras’ wooden masterbatch is an extruded virgin composite of natural fibers, additives, and thermoplastic resin, with an excellent balance of its mechanical properties and processability. Ideal for applications in home utilities, civil constructions, tool handles, automotive parts, cosmetic lids, furniture, and shoes.
Polifibras develops different options of ecological and sustainable thermoplastic resins, with the addition of natural fibers, characterizing the aspect and coloration similar to that of cherry tree, marble, and imbuia. The company holds the certificate of non-toxicity, necessary for products in contact with food, in addition to the certificate of sustainability and ECO seal, a sales marketing tool for the products sold to customers.
Wooden masterbatch of natural fibers to different segments
The line of products with WPC natural fibers – wooden polypropylene composites and CFP – Polifibras wooden masterbatch Polifibras are non-toxic, resistant, and eco-friendly, easy-to-process, greater dimensional stability, and with the possibility of pigment addition. These products are applied in the industry of furniture, shoes, home utilities, civil construction, automotive, cosmetics, among others.
With the product developed with natural fibers, Polifibras, through its officer Daniel Pegoraro, was granted a patent by the Federative Republic of Brazil for the formulation and manufacturing method of injected parts with rice bark and thermoplastic resins.
Sustainable growth
With 15 years of presence in the market, Polifibras has always been focused on the environment and sustainability, investing continuously in the development of composites for injection and extrusion processes from natural fibers. The company serves Brazilian industries that use the injection process with the addition of natural fibers to create eco-friendly and sustainable resins.
