An intelligent production cell comprising injection molding machines, robots and peripherals, fully integrated with industry 4.0 and with automation, will be Wittmann Battenfeld’s highlight at its stand at Interplast. The product is aimed at injection molded plastic transformers. With Industry 4.0 it is possible to establish communication between manufacturing equipment, products and their components to achieve efficient and personalized production.
The production cell relies on technology from the Wittmann 4.0 modular library, which includes numerous possibilities. The focus is on intelligent functions for self-optimization of individual devices, a uniform platform for data transmission between the injection molding machine and Wittmann peripherals, various modules for service and maintenance, as well as the ease of integration into an MES system.
In addition to the production cell, visitors to interplast can learn about the TEMI+ system (MES) and the CMS system for fully integrated maintenance monitoring. The novelty allows monitoring production data in real time and obtaining diagnostics of the machine’s operation for preventive maintenance scheduling.
